🌟 The Magic Returns
Seven years after the worldwide success of Disney’s Aladdin (2019), the magic lamp glows once more — ushering audiences back into the golden sands and glittering streets of Agrabah.
In Aladdin: The Return of Agrabah, director Guy Ritchie reunites with the beloved cast to deliver a thrilling new chapter — one that expands the mythology of genies, power, and destiny while exploring what happens after “happily ever after.”
At its heart lies a timeless truth: some wishes never fade — they just wait to be found again.
🕌 The Story
Years after defeating Jafar and freeing the Genie, Aladdin (Mena Massoud) and Princess Jasmine (Naomi Scott) rule Agrabah with wisdom, compassion, and a shared dream of uniting the kingdoms of the desert. Peace has blessed the land — until a strange omen appears in the night sky: a falling star that lands deep in the Cavern of the First Wish.
There, buried beneath the shifting sands, lies a relic older than the lamp itself — a Jeweled Hourglass, forged by the First Genie, whose power predates time. When the artifact is unearthed, the balance of magic across the world begins to unravel, awakening ancient forces bound to Agrabah’s past.
But darkness, too, has found a way to return.
A secret cult devoted to Jafar’s memory seeks to resurrect his spirit using the hourglass’s forbidden power — a ritual that could twist time and magic into chaos.
Realizing that the only way to stop this resurrection is to understand the source of all genie magic, Aladdin must once again summon Genie (Will Smith) — now mortal, living happily among humans with his wife and children. But the return of magic threatens to tear his world apart, forcing him to confront the cost of the freedom he once longed for.
✨ A New Adventure of Love and Destiny
Joined by Jasmine — now a ruler in her own right and more determined than ever to protect her people — Aladdin embarks on a breathtaking journey across deserts, oceans, and enchanted realms.
Their quest leads them to The City of Glass, a long-lost kingdom where the echoes of genie magic still hum in the air. Along the way, they uncover the legend of the First Genie — a being of infinite power whose creation of the lamp was both a gift and a curse.
In a race against time, Aladdin and Jasmine must battle new enemies, including a mysterious sorceress who wields sandstorms and shadows, while Jafar’s legacy threatens to rewrite destiny itself.
“Magic was never meant to be owned,” Genie warns.
“It was meant to remind us how precious freedom really is.”

🏺 Themes of Power, Legacy & Freedom
At its core, The Return of Agrabah explores what happens after the wish comes true.
Can love and power coexist?
Can freedom survive temptation?
And can a simple street rat, once again, prove that true magic doesn’t come from a lamp — but from the courage to believe in something greater?
These questions define the journey of every character — from Genie’s struggle with mortality, to Jasmine’s vision of peace, to Aladdin’s ultimate realization that some treasures can’t be stolen… they must be earned again.
